About Concert Under the Stars 2018
Concert Under the Stars takes place each summer in La Verne. The organizers work to make every amenity available, including a free shuttle from the parking lot to the performance space.
And oh, the performance space! The magic takes place at the Hafif Family Estate’s outdoor concert amphitheatre, nestled in the majestic foothills of La Verne. The sun shines, but not too warmly, and the amphitheatre has thousands of flora specimen available. There’s also outdoor artwork on display, and the wide open sky above that transitions throughout the evening into a starlit canvas. It truly is a venue unlike any other.
The evening is fully catered each year by a local catering firm or restaurant, and the food is always delicious. Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase but are not included with the ticket.
After dinner is served, it’s time for the entertainment to begin! The band takes the stage at 7 p.m. and it doesn’t take long for the dance floor to fill up.
At the end of the evening, the shuttle is available again to take attendees back to the parking lot.
Moreover, everyone attending the event is there for the same underlying reason: To support the amazing work done by local nonprofit organizations!
The Hafif Family Foundation produces Concerts Under The Stars each year as a community fundraiser. They take on all the expenses–lights, sound equipment, food, facilities, etc.–and book the musicians. Then, rather than selling tickets, they distribute the tickets to nonprofit organizations that serve the San Gabriel Valley.
